Having kicked off the summer at his curated stages at Glastonbury and Americana Fest in Bath, singer-songwriter Matt Owens and his band The Delusional Vanity Project have announced the “Pretending That Nothing Has Changed At All” tour. The tour celebrates the release of the forthcoming album ‘Beer for the Horses‘, which will be out on October 21st, 2022.
Known for his work as a founder member of indie-folk band Noah and The Whale, ‘Beer for the Horses‘ is a follow-up to his 2019 solo debut ‘Whiskey and Orchids‘, and 2020’s ‘Scorched Earth‘. The album was co-produced by Robert Vincent, with whom he kicks off the first night of the tour. It was recorded live surrounded by a seven-strong band of noteworthy musicians Owens has crossed paths with throughout his twenty-year career, including album co-producer Vincent, fellow Little Mammoths members Olly Cox and Jimmy Besley, Geoff Widdowson (Danny and the Champs, Treetop Flyers), Hannah Johns (The Leylines), Samuel Taylor, James Jack, and Norwegian singer Camilla Sky. ‘Beer for the Horses‘ includes the title track released earlier this year and the new single ‘Drinking by the River‘.
