Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. AUK has been on its travels to Malmo and bumped into longtime AUK friend and sometimes writer Fiona Winders – hello Fiona! – and it was nice to see so much support for Palestine over there, literally around every corner it felt at times. As always, do support the UK’s national demo tomorrow if you can or your own local events this weekend.
In the meantime, we leave you with a track a new cover of The Beatles’ “Something” taken from the forthcoming album “Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles From Abbey Road”, which comes out on December 6th via Highway 20 Records/Thirty Tigers. “Something” was filmed during the recording at the legendary studio, and the clip, shot by Neighbourhoods Apart Productions, features Williams with her band – Marc Ford (guitar), Butch Norton (drums), Doug Pettibone (guitar), David Sutton (bass), with Richard Causon (Hammond B-3) and Siobhan M Kennedy (backing vocals). Lucinda, if you want a guided tour of Beatles-land, just drop into AUK Towers, we are round the corner from Penny Lane and often have to navigate hordes of tourists trying to bike it into town. Take care and have a good one.
Don‘t agree to support the palestine. If you support them you are sympathising with terrorists who want to destroy Israel. Remember the 07th of October 2023.
By the way the west is threatened by political Islam – think about!
