Danny Clinch photographing Lucinda Williams for Tom Overby on August 15th, 2022 in New York City.
Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. AUK has been on its travels to Malmo and bumped into longtime AUK friend and sometimes writer Fiona Winders – hello Fiona! – and it was nice to see so much support for Palestine over there, literally around every corner it felt at times. As always, do support the UK’s national demo tomorrow if you can or your own local events this weekend.
In the meantime, we leave you with a track a new cover of The Beatles’ “Something” taken from the forthcoming album “Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles From Abbey Road”, which comes out on December 6th via Highway 20 Records/Thirty Tigers. “Something” was filmed during the recording at the legendary studio, and the clip, shot by Neighbourhoods Apart Productions, features Williams with her band – Marc Ford (guitar), Butch Norton (drums), Doug Pettibone (guitar), David Sutton (bass), with Richard Causon (Hammond B-3) and Siobhan M Kennedy (backing vocals). Lucinda, if you want a guided tour of Beatles-land, just drop into AUK Towers, we are round the corner from Penny Lane and often have to navigate hordes of tourists trying to bike it into town. Take care and have a good one.
We love it when something just pops up somewhat unexpectedly - and this take on the all-time number 2 Beatles song on the office iPod by Lucinda Williams is both unexpected and epically good. It's taken from the seventh edition of Lu's Jukebox, this time a set of Beatles covers…
Three-time Grammy Award winning artist and Americana UK readers’ and writers’ favourite Lucinda Williams has announced the release on 6th December 2024 of “Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles From Abbey Road”. Recorded at the legendary studio in London, the new collection serves as Vol. 7 of her celebrated Lu’s Jukebox…
Vol. 7 of Lucinda Williams' celebrated 'Jukebox Themed Performance Series', sees the Grammy-winning artist turn her sights on the Fab Four. Having originally started her 'Jukebox Series', during the pandemic in 2020 as a way to help independent music during a period when there was no live performances, these themed…

Don‘t agree to support the palestine. If you support them you are sympathising with terrorists who want to destroy Israel. Remember the 07th of October 2023.
By the way the west is threatened by political Islam – think about!
Don‘t agree to support Israel. If you support them you are sympathising with a terror state who wants to destroy the Palestinian people. Remember the 48 years of occupation, apartheid, land theft, imprisonment and killing.
By the way, Jewish diversity is threatened by Zionism – think about that!
Appreciate your support over the years Stuart but Islamophobia is not welcome on AUK, and ridiculous comment that by wanting to support Palestine people are “sympathising with terrorists” – terrorists create terror as a political weapon which is exactly what Israel has been doing for decades now. This didn’t start on October 7th.
