Katie Nicholas “You Kill Me” – but in the good way….

Well, here we have something of a rarity, especially considering our name and all.  Not only is ‘You Kill Me’ Americana from the UK, but even more perfectly it’s Americana from a one-time resident of the People’s Republic of Liverpool, and also features the risen star of UK Americana Robert Vincent.  Wow!  And there’s more – like the musicians playing on it include AMA-UK award winning instrumentalists Anna Corcoran, Mark Lewis, and Chris J Hillman (no relation).

Katie Nicholas was born in Liverpool, but her musical journey began after leaving her hometown Dick Wittington like at 18 to become an apprentice designer in London (another dreaming city on a river).  Restless with her time and dreams, she independently released her first album, ‘Dizzy‘, winning awards and chart placements for her well-loved track ‘Chemistry’ and capturing the attention of labels, festivals and fans.  ‘You Kill Me‘ presages an EP of new songs.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
