Following the brilliant debut at The Roundhouse in April 2024, a string of sold-out performances, and widespread critical acclaim, “The Songs of Joni Mitchell” returns this autumn with their extraordinary lineup of artists paying tribute to one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Jesca Hoop, Kate Stables  & Lail Arad, acclaimed singer-songwriters in their own right, will perform intimate interpretations of their favourite Joni Mitchell songs. They will be joined by Richard Sears on piano and Lisa Hannigan & Loah will make special guest appearances in London and Dublin.

The Songs Of Joni Mitchell”, originally conceived and curated by Lail Arad to mark Joni Mitchell’s 80th birthday and hosted by Cerys Matthews, was packed with “heartfelt and intricate performances” from the likes of  Emeli Sandé, Eska, Jesca Hoop, Kate Stables, Lail Arad, Olivia Chaney, Sam Amidon and Vashti Bunyan. Arad is a London-born singer and writer and the producer/curator of “The Songs Of Joni Mitchell” Of the project, she says, “The organic way in which this project snowballed, from a one-off celebration to a rolling concert tour, is a testament to the absolute love people have for Joni’s music – both on stage and in the audience.”

Jesca Hoop is a California native now living in Manchester and has been recording and releasing records of her original songs for 17+ years. Jesca grew up listening to Joni Mitchell and holds her as a standard for songwriting and just a few months prior, presented Legend: The Joni Mitchell Story, the award-winning 6-part BBC Radio documentary and podcast about the life of Joni Mitchell.  Regulars to this parish will know Kate Stables leads This Is The Kit and spends a hefty amount of time on the road. She has released six albums, the most recent of which was entitled “Careful of your Keepers” and came out in June 2023 on Rough Trade Records. Kate says, “Joni Mitchell has been a constant companion throughout my life. I mean, what an excellent badass role model. Punk before punk. And an excellent travelling/touring companion, for being on the road but also just for the general journey of life.”
