If you’ve been around these parts for a while you’ll remember that we used to have a lively community forum area, a place to discuss americana, discover new music and fix the world as it were. Then social media on steroids happened, obliterated everything in sight and hoovered up your data for the benefit of some of the most unsavoury characters to ever set foot on this planet.
Now enough time has passed for us to forget why we got rid of them in the first place, we’ve decided to have a stab at bringing back this part of the website for AUK readers old and new as a perhaps more civilised environment for conversation and debate. The area will be overseen by our new Forums Editor Paul Villers and will be moderated so, you know, it doesn’t become a cesspit – we haven’t been taken over by the woke mind virus but the virus is actually quite welcome around these parts. You can access the forums from the toolbar on any page or from this link. Please take the time to register and say hello, and hopefully we can build a little community liferaft for each other while the world implodes/explodes. Thoughts and comments welcome, as always.
