Lenny has come to the realisation that some relationships are just not worth stubbornly persevering with – it’s an enlightenment that’s encapsulated in lines like “What a time / To be alive / We spent all night / Talking about you.” Lenny didn’t share a lot of background with us, but we do now know that she is “on a journey of unlearning heteronormative, patriarchal norms that were so deeply embedded in my psyche. I’m reassessing what healthy relationships look like for me, embracing my bisexual identity, and learning to prioritize my own needs.” Which is great – but actually what you need to know about this song are two things: one, it is a banger, and two, it is taken from the EP ‘Personal Celebrity‘ which is out on August 4th.
