Art Vandalay “Never See You Again” – Listen

Who is Art Vandalay?  The name sounds familiar – perhaps you’re thinking of the guy who does imports.  Only imports?  Ok, Art Vandalay is an Importer-Exporter, he works a few floors up in the building.  That’s not important right now, because this Art Vandalay is actually the roots rocking band that hails out of St. Paul which was founded by Brandon Henry.

Never See You Again‘ is a classic “kiss-off” to a relationship song, co-written by Brandon Henry and Jaspar Lepack.  It’s non-specific enough to fit a number of moods, as Brandon Henry explained: “This song is about life being unexpectedly redirected by people who make a brief appearance in your life, wreck a good situation, and leave while everyone else is left behind to pick up the pieces.  The song captures a universal experience of bitter loss at the hands of a few who benefit. You could apply it to the Trump presidency, the 2008 recession, or your own personal upheaval.”  it’s taken from the upcoming album ‘Champagne & Chandeliers‘, which will hit the streets on August 20th.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
