Audrey and Hugh “Young, Loved and Free” – Listen

Audrey and Hugh return with a new single from their upcoming album ‘Sisterman‘ which is released on May 22nd.  We liked ‘Sisterman‘ a lot, and this song is one of the reasons.  It’s catchy modern folk, echoes and big drums and handclaps, and is optimistic about love.

That it could almost qualify as the anthem for Americana UK’s writing staff doesn’t hurt either, although we’ll keep in our hand whether that thought comes from “You are young, you are loved and you are free” or “and lord how these years gone by like water in these hands of mine.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
