Former twice winner of Americana UK Reader’s Poll for best Radio Show, Mike Ritchie, presenter of the Sunday Show on Celtic Music Radio, will broadcast his 400th show this weekend. Beginning in August 2014, the country, roots, and folk show has gone from strength to strength, championing local, national, and international Americana music.
Chair of Celtic Music Radio’s Board of Directors, Alex Jenkins, said: “Mike produces and presents a programme with a large audience that enjoys his choice of music and his observations. He works hard and it shows”. Of the milestone, Ritchie said: “It’s pleasing so many folk listen and support the show. Musicians, record labels, promoters, agents and PR teams help immensely, so I’m grateful to them. And, of course, my fellow volunteers at Celtic Music Radio are always there for guidance and advice. Playing the music I love is just great fun.”.
