Beth Nielsen Chapman “Hey Girl” – hey boy, superstar DJs… no, not really

Beth Nielsen Chapman returns after four years with new music – today’s song is taken from the new album ‘CrazyTown’, which is out September 23rd.   ‘Hey Girl‘ is, says Chapman, a “celebratory shout out to our sisters making their way in the world” and was inspired by the #MeToo movement.  The song was produced by legendary producer Ray Kennedy (Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle) and co-written with hit songwriter AnnieRoboff and the UK’s Jessica Sweetman.

To celebrate the album’s release Rough Trade have a limited coloured vinyl pressing (oooh!), and perhaps more significantly Beth Nielsen Chapman will kick-off a twenty gig UK tour on 18th October at Stamford Corn Exchange.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
