So, we all agree that ‘Raising Sand‘ is a great album, and we’re all looking forward to the follow up album ‘Raise the Roof‘ which is out 19th November (You’ll have to wait til December 3rd for vinyl sadly). Which is like – today! Oh joy! But when you get back from your friendly local record store clutching your copy you may want to wait a while before listening. Why? We’ll tell you why – this very evening at 6PM the indomitable duo of Krauss and Plant (or Plant and Krauss if you prefer) join forces with YouTube to present a global live stream at 6PM GMT.
Backed by an all-star band in Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios, they will debut a selection of songs from Raise The Roof exclusively for audiences on the platform. The special event will be hosted simultaneously on the official Robert Plant and Alison Krauss YouTube channels. Following the YouTube live stream viewers can head to NPR Music’s YouTube channel for a virtual listening party at 7PM GMT. In addition to a full playback of Raise The Roof, Plant and Krauss will join critic Ann Powers for a discussion of the album.
What a way to start the weekend – be there or be a special kind of rectangle.
