Bruce Springsteen “I’ll Stand By You” – Listen

Want to hear a previously unreleased Springsteen track ?  Well, you’re in luck because that’s just what we’ve got for you here.  And, as you’ve probably already noticed, it’s all thanks to the new feel good movie ‘Blinded by the Light‘ which explains how embracing The Boss can give your life purpose.  But we knew that already, right ?

The ‘Blinded By The Light: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack‘ was released over the weekend on Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings on CD and digitally. If you’re going for the vinyl then it’s worth noting that a double LP version will be available from 30th August with HMV and independent record shops offering an exclusive double LP white vinyl edition of the album.

The soundtrack features the long-awaited release of Springsteen song ‘I’ll Stand By You‘ alongside the pick of Springsteen’s early songs and two live rarities: the debut live performance of ‘The River‘ (from No Nukes ’79 – Madison Square Garden, NYC – 21st Sept 1979) and an unforgettable acoustic solo performance of ‘The Promised Land‘ (Concert for Valor – The National Mall, Washington DC, 11th Nov 2014).

In unrelated news – it’s never too soon to start dropping hints about great ideas for Christmas presents…

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
