Buffalo Traffic Jam “Fools Gold” – time slips through my fingers

Not a jam band, but an indie folk duo of Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross, and ‘Fools Gold‘ is the second single to come from the forthcoming album “Take Me Home”, which will be out on Arista Records. The album was produced by Ryan Hadlock, who has worked with The Lumineers and Brandi Carlile, to name a couple, and Buffalo Traffic Jam do have something of that pacey urgency of The Lumineers.

Speaking of the song, Franki Cassidy has said, “Sometimes what you want is not actually what you need. A lot of times, all we can think about is things in life that we think we can’t live without. The mind likes to play tricks on us and put false hopes in our heart. ‘Fool’s Gold’ explores these ideas and tells the story of someone who thinks they know exactly what they need, when all they really needed was some time to themselves.”

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
