The ever prolific Charley Crockett will release his second album of 2025 “Dollar A Day” on August 8th via Island Records. Once again joined by creative kindred spirit co-producer Shooter Jennings, the new LP marks the second instalment in The Sagebrush Trilogy, coming just five months after “Lonesome Drifter”, part one of the trilogy and his Island debut. Swaggering lead single ‘Crucified Son’ is out today which you can listen to below.

Like its predecessor, the new album was recorded at the fabled Sunset Sound Studio 3 in Hollywood. “With Shooter, I’ve never felt more like myself in the studio,” explains Crockett. “I don’t feel judged. At all. It’s truly a partnership. Hell, I’d say he’s my best friend, and you can’t aspire to greatness without that kind of trust. With Lonesome Drifter, it felt like we opened the portal.  With Dollar A Day, we stepped through and came out the other side.”

The Sagebrush Trilogy began back in March with “Lonesome Drifter” and the initial salvo was met with a wide range of critical praise – Pitchfork says “Crockett seems both talent-wise and generationally well-placed to build a bridge between genres through the sheer force of his writing” while NPR Music says Crockett has “really effortlessly carved out his own space” – and saw Crockett notch his biggest debut on the Billboard 200 yet. “Lonesome Drifter” was also the #1 album sold at indie record stores across the U.S. in its first week. In March, Crockett joined The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a performance of Lonesome Drifter standout “Easy Money.”

Crockett is currently in the middle of a stretch of headline dates that saw him return to Red Rocks last week, and in August, he will head out with longtime friend Leon Bridges on ‘The Crooner & The Cowboy Tour.’
