Americana UK Community Forum Guidelines
This forum exists for the americana community in the UK and beyond to discuss americana and other topics in a nice environment without being arseholes to each other. We basically aspire to be the opposite of X. To keep it welcoming and not like a cesspit for everyone, please follow these simple rules:
Respect others.
Treat every member with courtesy. Debate ideas, not people. No discriminatory language.
Posts or comments that include racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any other form of discrimination will be removed and may potentially result in a ban for the relevant poster - we are not free speech warriors.Use kind and inclusive language.
Remember there are many perspectives and experiences here—speak in ways that invite, not exclude. We are happy to be "woke" if it means just being nice to people. No harassment or personal attacks.
Disagreement is fine; intimidation, mocking, or targeting others is not.Keep discussions constructive.
Critique ideas thoughtfully and back up claims with reasoning or evidence.Assume good intent—but listen when harm is pointed out.
If someone flags language or behaviour as hurtful, take a moment to consider their view before replying.Moderators’ decisions stand.
They exist to keep the space safe and balanced. Persistent breaches may result in warnings or removal.- Please don't post adverts or spam.
If you're a promoter it's fine to post about an artist but please engage with the discussions.
