@joan-at-pecan-pie mega. Dusty is a template for a live Americana anthem.
The new Lemonheads album 'Love Chant' and the new Rhett Miller album 'A Lifetime of Riding by Night'
Both feel a bit like 'growers' at the moment, although 'Cell Phone Blues' on the Lemonheads album brought instant smiles and joy!
For older stuff I've been listening to a lot of EELS and the Lucero album 'live at red rocks' (that I've only just got)

The new record from Madison Cunningham - Ace - is taking up a lot of player time with Madi Diaz Fatal Optimist and The Third Mind's Right Now in hot pursuit.
I'm really enjoying the Saving Grace album. I never cared much for Led Zeppelin, but I think Robert Plant has turned into a truly fascinating artist. Ever since the Mighty Rearranger album, he has been coming up with a succession of albums that weave wonderful textures and pull on such a wide range of influences that there's something new to find every time you listen to them.
I’ve always had a wide-ranging taste in music, and I tend to shift from one genre to another almost daily. As someone who’s dyslexic and on the spectrum, it probably won’t surprise anyone to learn that I keep detailed lists of what I listen to — including how many times I’ve played each album or track.
At the moment, I’ve dipped into a compilation released a few years ago on the Fantastic Voyage label: Let’s Have a Party – Girls Gone Rockin’, Volume 2. It’s a triple CD set featuring 75 tracks by female artists, spanning the years 1952 to 1960. The collection is full of quirky, innocent, and joyful moments — a real treasure trove of hits and rarities. Once I’ve played each disc three times, I’ll move on to something entirely different.
I’m also keen to hear the new album just released by local singer John Witherspoon — it came out on Friday and I’m eager to give it a proper listen. Meanwhile, my nighttime rotation includes a mix of old favourites and newer discoveries: Exile on Main Street by The Rolling Stones, the debut album from The Velvet Underground, the latest release from Wolf Alice, and a selection from Nanci Griffith’s Best Of. It’s a bit of a musical patchwork, but that’s how I like it — always shifting, always exploring.
Just finished…

@joe-nathan I love the Replacements, I've been listening to "For Sale: Live at Maxwell's 1986" a lot lately. It's a bit rough and ready as expected but it's my favourite live recording of the band by far, it just sounds like such an awesome gig to have been at, sad I never got to see them.
..also a bit of left turn today, I've been listening to the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack this morning while doing some much needed housework!! 😆
I treated myself to some good ones at the weekend

I've just streamed, and really enjoyed, the new Caamp album, inspired by Mark's recent feature. I'd love to buy a copy but with the price of new vinyl l just can't afford everything I"d like. I know prices vary but in my local shops the going rate seems to have crept up to £27-30 for a new album. It's a pricey hobby!
