I'm currently listening to an excellent freebie CD of old Small Faces tracks, included with the recent edition of Mojo magazine. Absolutely nothing to do with americana but I always liked the band and Tin Soldier is one of my top singles of all time.
@rick-bayles Lane and Marriott were great song writers. Marriott despite his personal demons was a great singer. MacLagan and Jones have had long and successful careers as musicians. A very fine band that never got their due reward or recognition.
