Darling West “Oh Love” – Not something to run from

It’s always great to hear a new track from the awesome Darling West, and what better time to share it than Monday morning?  On ‘Oh Love‘ we find our favourite Norwegian Book Worms boring through a volume entitled “Late Prime Fleetwood Mac Music” and using what they’ve digested to produce a love song of ambiguity with Mari Kreken wondering if it’s a good thing when “all colours fade turning into shades of grey telling me I’m not ok” and if the solution is to “surrender to the healing light of Love.”  Well, yeah, huh.

Oh Love‘ is taken from the new album ‘Cosmos‘ which will be released on Jansen Records on March 24th 2023.   You’ll have a chance to see Darling West as part of the Americana Music Association UK’s Americanafest showcases in January 23rd-26th next year.  Too soon to be talking about Americanafest?  Na, huh.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
