Elizabeth Moen “Studio Apartment” – Listen

Elizabeth Moen’s new single ‘Studio Apartment‘ is a tale of a meeting in a bar, and a casual arrangement.  It’s going to be nothing special, no-one’s falling in love here or fulfilling their dreams.  No hassles, no romantic entanglements. No worries… happens all the time.

Elizabeth Moen’s EP ‘Creature of Habit’ came out on December 11th, and this is the 4th single from it.  The Chicago-based singer says of the song that”I love the storytelling aspect of country way back when. So I said f**k it and wrote a ballad about someone moving to a city to ‘make it.’”  We love the irony that she wrote ‘Studio Apartment’ while living in her aunt’s basement, a place she could only make-believe was her own.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
