Fourteen-time Grammy Award winner and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Emmylou Harris has announced her final European tour beginning in the UK and Ireland in early 2026, with UK and Netherlands shows in May and more countries to be announced. Special guest Jim Lauderdale will open the evening on various dates.
This limited series of special performances by one of the most revered voices in American music features intimate evenings of songs and stories in celebration of Harris’ remarkable career in folk, country, and Americana music. ”My way of saying thank you for all the years of music, memories and support you’ve shown me,” Harris says.
Harris’ contribution as a singer and songwriter spans fifty years. She has recorded more than twenty-five albums and has performed on countless fellow artists’ recordings. In recognition of her remarkable career, Harris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award in 2018.
Harris is known as much for her eloquently straightforward songwriting as for her incomparably expressive singing. One of the most admired and influential women in music, Harris has recorded with diverse artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Daniel Lanois, Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Gram Parsons, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, Ryan Adams, Beck, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, Lyle Lovett, and Rodney Crowell.
Fifty years into her career, Harris continues to share the hard-earned wisdom that—hopefully if not inevitably—comes with getting older while continuing to look ahead. A longtime social activist, Harris has been outspoken about many issues: most passionately about animal welfare. In 2004 she established Bonaparte’s Retreat with the goal of rescuing shelter dogs and adopting them into forever homes. To this day, Bonaparte’s Retreat continues to save the most in-need dogs from Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control and municipal shelters in surrounding counties.

Emmylou in May (and Pixies in non-Americana news) Neil Young and Jason Isbell in June. Great news but expensive. Might have to set up a GoFundMe to get me through!
The video is from 1977, but is she playing songs from then or the reinvented stuff?
Nobody knows yet but it would be nice to know before splurging on tickets.
Europe- you have the assignment now🙂
This is from the OGWT, she will be doing a selection from her many albums.
Forty years? She’s closing in on 60.
Writer reckons she’s only been around since 1985 lol.
Saw her on Tate St at UNC GREENSBORO in early 1970’s.
I’m 75 so I’ve heard a lot of her tunes.
First saw her at the New Victoria London 1975 and numerous times since. Every one a fab experience. Got my (4) tickets for the trip up to Sunderland. And yep, with Rodney Crowell and Chris Isaac also about, I too have had to take out another mortgage!!
