We’ve had the opportunity to feature the music of Ontario’s Eric Brombacher in several of his recording guises, this latest song is once more as Eric & The Soo with bandmates Dino Naccarato (drums), Ken Yoshioka (guitar) and Tim Bradford (bass) whilst Eric takes the piano part – an unusual selection for him, he tells us. ‘Last Forever’ is a ballad which suggests that actually things don’t always last forever: “I believe that love can last forever…but it don’t always work that way.”
The song’s inspiration came not from real life but from ’70’s and ’80’s hard rock bands. The kind of bands that slipped a ballad in somewhere towards the end of one side of the album to give them a radio friendly hit single that was completely unlike everything else they’d recorded.
