Esther Rose “Good Time” – Listen

Esther Rose has an upcoming album ‘How Many Times’ due out on 26th March 2021 via Full Time Hobby.  It’s been about two years in the making and features Rose’s brand of traditional sounding country with a modern – and yet timeless – feel to it.   That was two years which also encompassed three moves, the end of a relationship, and countless tour dates – which all somehow filtered thorough to the songs that make up ‘How Many Times.’

Case in point – ‘Good Time‘ was an ironic reaction to the time when her car’s engine blew up during an impulsive “pitstop” in Nashville. As she says “I don’t grapple with fate, I accept my bad luck and my good luck equally.”

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
