Californian singer-songwriter Francesca Brown had a busy 2020. Recording a total of three musical projecs, with today’s song coming from the third of these the EP ‘Pandemania.‘ As may be guessable from the Eps cover image, Francesca was fully eight months pregnant during the recording of ‘Pandemania.‘ Add in the Californian Summer heat, wildfires, and political upheaval (you remember 2020 and the political upheaval, right?) and it’s unsurprising that Brown found herself somewhat anxious. What if she got sick? What if there was an emergency? These thoughts were somewhat assuaged by setting up microphones in her closet and recording in the true at home lockdown lo-fi manner.
