Icarus Phoenix “See or Care” – existance in life, or not

‘See or Care‘ is the final single from the huge new Icarus Phoenix album “I Should Have Known the Things You Never Said“, a double CD release of 37 songs.  And as befits its status, ‘See or Care‘ is an emotional punch of some strength which travels through a nightmare of knowing one is in what we might call a “dark place”  and that knowledge not containing the route to a way out of it but does at least have the seed of understanding that there will be a path – there is a way out.

In this case the turmoil related to the fall out from divorce.  As Drew Danburry explains: ” My son’s love and understanding helped get me through those dark times. He knew I wanted to be there with him and that it broke me apart to have to move across the country to survive. But he understood. Like he understands how music is the reason why I live and breathe. For my son to see what that meant, even if we had to be apart. Was a huge blanket of acceptance.
