This is the second single from Jason Isbell’s new album ‘Weathervanes‘, which will be released June 9th on Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers. It sounds quietly reflective, with almost a romantic ballad feel to it – but this ain’t no romantic ballad. It’s a cry of pain. Written during the pandemic it captures the endless wheeling thoughts of someone who does not want to be stuck at home…but it also captures more general feelings of anxiety and depression.
