Jenny Berkel’s new song reflects on a relationship that didn’t quite work out – it’s the story of a summer relationship that took place in a city with little gardens everywhere. ‘Lavender City’ is an intimate look at the lies told in a bad relationship, with the eventual capacity to see clearly again. Although, since life is pain there’s the necessity of anatomizing the lies that first drew one in.
