Acclaimed US songwriter Jerry Joseph returns to the UK this month for a string of live solo dates, with the recently released Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons album “Panther Tracks Vol 1” under his belt. Live shows include stops in London, Scotland, Sheffield, and Leeds.
The album, consisting of five fan-favourite songs from their live set that have never been recorded in a studio as well as their rendition of Leonard Cohen’s ‘You Want It Darker’ and new track, ‘New Lincoln’, is available digitally, on CD, and on limited edition blue vinyl Produced by Jackmormons’ drummer, Steve Drizos, and recorded in his Portland, OR studio, which is called… you guessed it, “The Panther”. The album features the Jackmormons’ core power trio – Joseph on guitar and vocals, Steven James Wright on bass, and Steve Drizos on drums, joined by frequent collaborators Jenny Conlee on piano and Eric Martinez on guitar. Little Sue, Martin Dimpker, Adam Dimpker, and Wally Ingram each guest on a song as well.
And so, Joseph returns to the UK this month for some fairly intimate gigs – tickets are available here. For all those not lucky enough to be able to catch a performance in their area, he also hosts a weekly show, “OIL”, his unfiltered livestream, full of stories and songs, on YouTube and Facebook every Thursday starting at 6:30 pm PST (which is a fairly unsociable UK time, so past episodes can be found here.)
