Louisiana born, New York raised and now resident of London, Kate Ellis’ new single came out last Friday. This is actually the acoustic version of ‘I Believe’ that’s on the B-Side, if that makes sense in a download world. Anyway, it’s always worth checking out the flipside and in this case the acoustic version if anything emphasizes the purity of Ellis’ vocal, quivering with emotion as one human being tries to help another out of a slough of despair. It’s worth checking the full band version on the A-side too – that gently rocks a little.
