Kellie Loder ramps up the romance on her new single ‘When We Kiss’. Loder’s lyrics perfectly capture the giddy exhilaration of a newly found love. Her breathy delivery is a meditation on the boundless possibilities that unfurl during a first kiss. Describing the positivity of the song she says, “A lot of the songs I write come from a chaotic place but usually give the option of calm. I’ve never been one to lead my listeners down a road of “this is my life right now and here’s why it’s hard” without offering a glimmer of relief. I like to create avenues off the hard road that might lead to a lighter place. Call me an optimist, I guess. ‘When We Kiss’ however, is all rainbows and butterflies which rarely happens for me and my writing. It’s a place I enjoy being in.”
