The Kilkenny Roots Festival celebrates its twentieth year this year from 28th April to May 1st with a rather stellar line-up including country-noir favourites The Handsome Family, alt.country rockers Marah and singer-songwriter Joan Shelley. Also confirmed for 2017 are Chip Taylor, Andrew Combs, acclaimed Belfast-based band Arborist, and AMAUK award winner Yolo Carter. Los Angeles’ The Americans make their European debut, so too emerging country gospel star Paul Cauthen, the ‘Queen Of Oklahoma’ Carter Sampson, Ireland’s own David Kitt and Western Centuries, a straight-ahead country band featuring Jim Miller (Donna The Buffalo) and Cahalen Morrison.
