LeBarons “Through To You” – hello, are you listening?

It’s been a while since we last heard from Toronto’s alt-country band LeBarons, but they’re back with a bang with a new single from their upcoming album.  The new album is called ‘Days Are Mountains‘ and it’ll be  available digitally from August 11th.  It sees LeBarons expand their sound beyond their more usual alt-country twang, this rocks a little harder.  Would we say they’ve stirred in a bit of The Sadies’ energy?  We might.

Lead singer and songwriter Chris MacDonald also furthered his writing by channelling the anxiety of the pandemic into his debut novel, ‘The Things I Came Here With: A Memoir‘ (ECW Press, 2022). The book explores Chris’ challenging childhood and the twisting path that led him to tattooing. It ultimately speaks to the way art can literally save lives.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
