There must be something in the air in LA, well maybe not in downtown LA but somewhere in LA, which once breathed in inspires the most delicate examples of folk song to be written. Admittedly this song was actually recorded in Nashville but it’s LA that Leeann Skoda currently calls home. Over fine finger-picked guitar, courtesy of Jason Hawk Harris, Leeann Skoda delivers a beautiful vocal mourning the loss of her grandmother and decrying “Time, great thief / Time does what it will.” There’s never enough time, and then there’s no time at all. Poignant and moving. ‘Still‘ is well worth a listen.
