Kentucky born americana artist Dawn Landes has shared a new track which she recorded over a decade ago as a duet with the late Justin Townes Earle, a stripped down version of Dolly Parton‘s ‘Do I Ever Cross Your Mind’. The song was released for Bandcamp Friday, but was recorded originally back in 2010 at Landes’ Brooklyn studio when she was then touring with Earle.
Proceeds from the song, which was released as a free download 10 years ago but was often performed live, will go to Earle’s family, wife Jenn Marie and daughter Etta St. James Earle. “We recorded this song just for the fuck of it,” Earle said onstage in 2010.
