Last Friday, Lucinda Williams has released her new album ‘Good Souls Better Angels’ to it’s fair to say across the board acclaim, including ourselves who awarded it one of our rare 10s. If you’ve been enjoying the record, Rough Trade have announced that Lucinda will be broadcasting an exclusive Instagram TV Transmission to fans on the @roughtrade & @roughtradenyc Instagram TV feeds tonight (Tuesday 28th April) at 6pm UK time. This transmission will be free for all to view, and will remain on Instagram TV for the foreseeable future. Rough Trade Transmissions is a new IG TV series curating exclusive artist content, broadcasting on weekdays.
‘Good Souls Better Angels’ features some of Williams’ most intimate and upfront vocals on record. The album marks the first time Williams’ husband/manager Tom Overby is credited as a co-writer on many of the new songs, and was co-produced by Williams, Overby and Ray Kennedy, who last worked with Williams on her 1998 landmark album ‘Car Wheels On A Gravel Road’.
