Lucinda Williams “Where The Song Will Find Me” – Waiting for the muse to turn up

Lucinda Williams is a legend, and never more so than in her resilient majesty on recent tours and here with a song from the new album ‘Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart’ (out June 30th via Highway 20 Records/Thirty Tigers).

Lucinda Williams is till recovering from her stroke of November 2020, and ‘Where The Song Will Find Me‘ is a reflection on a change of song writing approach – an enforced change because although she is walking again the ability to play the guitar is not yet back.  Complete with a beautiful orchestral arrangement by Lawrence Rothman, ‘Where the Song Will Find Me’ offers an emotional and inspirational message from Williams that despite any setbacks, she will always continue to make music, by any means necessary.  She is, as we said before, a legend.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
