Mary Scholz “Talk To Me” – come on, open up

Los  Angeles based singer-songwriter Mary Scholz has recently released ‘Talk to Me,’ the first single from her upcoming album, ‘Begin Again’, which was produced by Jonathan Wilson.  It’s a song that takes a broader view of conversations that are lacking than the obvious assumption that a couple are in unspoken conflict.  Actually it’s a much bigger problem as Mary Scholz explains: “There are a lot of really passionate people in the world, including me.  Some people use their energy and passion to affirm themselves and their beliefs instead of starting a dialogue. We’ve all practiced arguments in the mirror, or in the shower, and things like that. And that’s very human, and not necessarily a bad thing. But it’s also not the only place to put your conversational energy. I believe that dialogue is the way forward.”

Talk to Me‘ is a jaunty number with a serious message, likely to appeal to fans of Dar Williams (for example).
