Esther Rose recently featured in one of Americana UK’s ‘More People Should Really Know About’ feature. AUK’s Clint West wrote: “Despite being on a clear upward trajectory. Esther Rose has not yet reached the level of success that her talent clearly warrants and deserves. More people really should know about her…and when they do she should fly”. After a busy first half of this year touring North America, Rose has announced a series of UK dates, her first solo headline tour here, in September 2024.
Rose’s most recent album ‘Safe To Run’ (2023) was reviewed on AUK and awarded an impressive 8*. At the beginning of 2024, she issued a digital EP ‘Safe 2 Run (versions)’ which featured three versions of songs from ‘Safe To Run’ in stripped-down arrangements with collaborations from Bella White (‘Chet Baker’), The Deslondes (‘Safe To Run’) and The Lostines (‘Spider’) plus one new song, ‘Ketamine’.
She wrote at the time: “Alone at my desk each morning, I have slowly written my next album. Things are getting very interesting. ‘Ketamine’ is a taste of what’s to come.” You can listen to the track below.
