Now, this one might be a small stretch but to be honest we’ve been a bit short on really driving rock recently and Old School Reasons certainly offer that. They are a four piece alternative rock band from the UK who originally formed in 2009 with a shared love of bands like Alkaline Trio, the Bouncing Souls, Blink 182 and Jimmy Eat World. There have been periods of time since then away from playing and releasing music but Old School Reasons are back in 2023 with a new line-up and two new singles – and wouldn’t you know it ‘Can’t Keep Me Down‘ is one of them.
If you like the punkier end of Americana – say Austin Lucas on an angry day – then you might just like this. You might hear a bit of am echo of The National in there somewhere. And if not – well doubtless there’ll be a sensitive singer-songwriter along soon…
