Ryan Green and Cameron Hood (who clearly chose not to go with the Robin Hood vibe of GreenHood) got together as a busking duo in Boston’s Quincy Market. They got spotted by a college circuit booking agent and…well the rest is history. Ten years on they’ve recorded a half dozen or so albums, and their latest ‘Under the Leaves’ is out on April 16th. They’ve been described as what “Weezer might sound like as a folk band” – you might also think of a hopped up and rocking Milk Carton Kids. Particularly on new song ‘The Fight.‘
It’s a song about making choices and wrestling with the demons of the mind and in reality. Hatred isn’t defeated with hate, but it has to be engaged with.
