Well that’s it from us for another week and we leave you dear reader with a short but sweet track from the new album from Scottish singer/songwriter and AUK poll winner on more occasions than we can count, Dean Owens. “Spirit Ridge” is Celtic Music Radio’s album of the week, starting tomorrow (March 15th – 21st) and he appears on the community station’s hour-long Album of the Week Show at midday. A selection of tracks will feature as well as his conversation with Mike Ritchie, twice winner of Americana UK readers’ Best Radio Show Poll.
“The chat with Dean was recorded before he headed off to tour Australia,” said Mike. “He’s a really relaxed interviewee and learning how the album, his 12th, came together was very interesting. I caught the outstanding, official Spirit Ridge launch show at Celtic Connections in Glasgow in February and, deservedly, he’s had great reviews since.
