Something for the weekend: Hannah White “Safety From Harm”

That’s it from us for another week and we leave you dear reader with a powerful new song from Hannah White, “Safety from Harm” which feels more resonant than ever after the horrific footage of tents burning earlier this week. White says of the track: “A song I dedicate to the people of Palestine; and to all victims of war and injustice. A song I am putting out as a reminder that there are never any justifications for war crimes. A song that stands for our fellow human simply because they are our fellow human… even when they don’t look or behave in the way we want them to. It’s a song that stands for the fierce sort of loving we work at and practise until the day that every one of us can enjoy basic human rights and safety from harm.”

The song was composed by White with accompanying musicianship from Keiron Marshall, Tom Daley and Nigel Appleton. As the song’s narrator says, “I chose love over anger and still hold out a hand”. Please support your local events this weekend if you can. Take care.
