We leave you dear reader with a new song from Nate Amos aka This is Lorelei which as you’ll hear isn’t really americana by even our own indie-twisting definition of it, but the video is just exceptionally good, as is the song itself once it worms its way into your head. Oh No Now My’s earthy guitar riff, yearning harmonies and hypnotic drums meld into a beamed-in folk-pop anthem that’s spellbindingly offbeat in Amos’ signature style, accompanied by a stop-motion animation video by Julia Fernandez.
Of the song, Amos says “‘Oh No Now My’ is a song that ate itself – there were 3 versions of it before it landed here, where it has nothing in common with the original. I think it’s good but it’s hard to sing. I hope you like it.”
