Songs for the apocalypse: Hugh Masterson “Lost and Found”

Some of my songs I’m storing for my time capsule when the end of the world happens (as recent events have proven, it’s never too early to start doing this) hark back to my carefree childhood or disappointing 20s. Others are from my more recent period of fast advancing decrepitness, such as this track from Wisconsin’s Hugh Masterson who only released his first solo album 3 years ago. His bio describes “his sound boasting a Midwestern bounce and jangle coupled with Nashville wail and grit” which is spot on. ‘Lost and Found’ is the title track from his 2017 mini-album and such a great song, with echoes of the Sadies and BJ Barham.
