We leave you this weekend dear reader with this new song from Buddy and Julie Miller’s forthcoming album ‘Breakdown on 20th Avenue’. Sadly it’s not a cover of the Jayhawk classic, but their first single to be taken from the record which is out on seven-inch vinyl today. The single’s b-side is Julie Miller’s new version of ‘Can’t Cry Hard Enough’ taken from her 1994 album ‘Invisible Girl’ which has been recorded by other artists since including Victoria Williams and Susan Ashton. It has been an absolute age since americana legends Buddy Miller and Julie Miller (they’re related you know) have released an album together, and they’ve both been involved in a fair bit of stuff since the last including Buddy’s involvement with Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’s Raising Sand tour and the ‘Nashville’ TV series.
