Dreaming, as someone once noted, is free – which is just as well since picking up tickets for this three would be sizable hit to the wallet. But oh holy royal glory, what riches you are offering us this time Songkick. Not a double header gig but an epic of a triple header – with this suggestion you’re really spoiling us.
And we’ve got to hope that the running order is reading left to right as that would be a continual step up in band size with all the concurrent increase in the excitement that that might deliver. Although there is another possibility – what if it really was as Songkick suggests? It was in fact just Bruce, and no E Street Band? Well now, that’s a different prospect. Bruce solo might offer us the opportunity for a quiet kick-through the pure Americana of Nebraska as the opener, with Ralph McTell offering the cheerier folk sing-a-long before Claire Grogan’s merry band of jangle-pop pranksters bring it all home with some devastating meditations on the nature (and disappointments) of love.
As someone once said – we could be happy.
