Camp Bedford are a New York based folk-pop-rock trio of Roxanne Quilty on guitar, Mariela Flor Olivo on lead rhythmic guitar, and Tallen Gabriel helming the cello.  Together they produce a multi-layered vocal attack, as on this latest single ‘2 A.M.‘  For all the powerful driving accompaniment and soaring and swooping vocals ‘2A.M.’ is a song of anger “I was doing fine ’til you told me about her and now I’m freaking out”,  bitter regrets for lost time “now you get a brand new start but, honey, we’re all getting older”  and, yes, jealousy “by the end of the week she’ll fall in love with a side of you that I never got to meet.”  It’s a turmoil of emotions.

Camp Bedford told Americana UK something of their perception of the band and their influences:Camp Bedford is a folk-pop-rock band spinning tales of adventure, self-discovery, life’s journeys and the stumbles along the way. Nostalgic forward-thinkers, Camp Bedford’s music is infused with the magic of possibility. Compared to the likes of Joseph, First Aid Kit, and Wye Oak, the group finds inspiration in poetry, nature, and musical genres ranging from bluegrass to hyper pop.”

2A.M.‘ is taken from Camp Bedford’s upcoming EP ‘So Often & So Sweet’ which is released on March 31st.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
