Track Premiere: Madeline Rosene “Heart On Fire”

Here we have a first listen for the Lyric Video accompanying Madeline Rosene’s song ‘Heart On Fire‘ taken from her new album ‘Everyday Existential Crisis‘, which was released at the end of October.  It sees the sassy lyricist questioning the reality of love from the opening line ‘Hearts on Fire, or maybe its indigestion onwards.  Madeline’s music has been descried as genre fluid, but this song is very solidly within ironic-70s style singer-songwriter -you might think of Andrew Gold.

Everyday Existential Crisis‘ is Rosene’s second album, following on from her debut ‘Raised On Porn‘, which garnered some radio attention – let’s face it, with that title people are going to take a listen – in the US.  But don’t worry, valued sensitive reader – there’s nothing too “scary” about this song.  Honest.  Well, maybe a little swearing – but we’re all grown-ups, right?  Sure we are.  You’ll be fine.

Madeline Rosene has also toured extensively including playing at LA’s infamous The Viper Room.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
