The Kipsies are a band based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who make a roots influenced music that draws on traditional bluegrass and old-time instrumentation, but with a progressive and modern sound that blends in elements of folk, rock, jazz, and classical music for a hauntingly rich sound. They have a new album ‘Breathe in Deep‘ out in September, from which today’s song is taken.
The Kipsies had this to say about their new song ‘Be Still‘: “Our world has faced many trials over the past few years. Between pandemics, wars, and invasions, there is a lot to reflect upon. The song ‘Be Still” is not only a song about reflection during troubling times, but is a multi-layered musical journey, flowing between times of trouble and times to reflect and “be still”.”
