Amanda Shires hits new heights after her time in the Highwomen.  Filmed live in Nashville’s famed Columbia studio, Amanda Shires performs ‘Take it Like a Man’ with her band, featuring husband Jason Isbell on guitar,  and a string section. This is the second single and title track from Shire’s new album. While her earlier work was always charming and certainly didn’t lack introspection, her new material has taken on an entirely new depth and gravitas. Starting with the her single ‘The Problem’ released in 2020 she is clearly digging deep to write songs and lyrics that explore and express meaningful experiences as a woman.

“I want people to know that it’s okay to be a 40-year-old woman and be more than just a character in somebody else’s life.”, says Shires.

On July 23rd, she’ll perform with The Highwomen at Wrigley Field in Chicago opening for Chris Stapleton, followed by a special hometown sold-out solo show at Nashville’s Blue Room on July 28th to celebrate the release of her new album.
